As some of you may already know, I've been working closely with AASHTO to develop new traffic control devices for the benefit of all road users. We are hopeful that some of these innovative traffic signs recently created at I.C. Laboratories will be incorporated into the next Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices:

MIGHT NOT WORK. On the other hand, it just might.

NEW SPEED ADVISORY SIGNS reflect the reality of freeway travel in US metro areas.

THE SLOP SIGN. This version controls intersections more effectively than the original.

THE RANDOM AMBIGUOUS PUNCTUATION SERIES also features Giant Sideways Ampersand.

DRIVE BETTER. This design fared well in preliminary studies.

BRIDGE OUT. Informational placards will include helpful safety reminders.
